Pauline Escoto


Pauline was born and raised in San Diego. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Social Work at San Diego State University. As a Cuyamaca College transfer student, entering SDSU during a pandemic has not hindered gaining opportunities to work in the community. Her past work experience with SDSU’s Communities Fighting COVID! organization was one of the initial steps for her introduction to the real life aspect of social work. Pauline currently interns with Consensus Organizing Center at their Step-Up program which works with high school students in City Heights. She is ecstatic to become a part of such an amazing team and begin this new journey.

Kalyn is in her first and final year of her MSW in the Administration & Community Development track through the Advanced Standing Program. Her internship this year is at Cuyamca Community College through their Cares Program, focusing directly on their Food Pantry program. Kalyn got her Bachelor Degree in both Social Work & Critical Race, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Humboldt State University in 2021.

Alexis Armitage

Alexis Armitage

Alexis Armitage was born and raised in San Diego, California. She is currently in her final year as a graduate student in San Diego State University’s Master of Social Work 3-Year Program with an emphasis is in Community Development. Alexis completed her undergraduate degree in Business Administration at California State University Los Angeles in 2014. This year Alexis is interning with the Consensus Organizing Center as the Program Manager for the Step Up Program, which is a college access program with Hoover High School students. Through the Step Up program Alexis looks forward to empowering students to pursue a college education.
